Farewell to X: A Necessary Step

After much consideration, we, Timo Buchner and the team at Buchner VFX, have decided to step away from maintaining an active presence on X (formerly Twitter). For years, this platform was a valuable space for sharing our work, exchanging ideas, and connecting with a fantastic community. However, recent developments have made it clear that it’s time to move on.

A Critical View of X and Its Leadership

Since Elon Musk’s acquisition of X, the platform has taken a direction we can no longer support. Musk’s worldview often promotes recklessness as freedom and provocation as innovation. Under his leadership, tolerance for hate speech, disinformation, and societal division has grown significantly. Values such as accountability and mutual respect seem to have been sidelined.

We believe a platform is only as strong as the values it upholds, and X no longer aligns with what we stand for.

What Happens to Our X Account?

Our account on X will remain for now, but it will no longer be actively maintained. This allows our community the opportunity to connect with us on alternative platforms. We warmly invite you to join us on Bluesky, where we’ll continue to share our work and passion in an environment that better reflects our values.
